ECR Solutions founded by Fred Schäfer.

Fred Schäfer, who initially worked in marketing at Pirelli Germany and then at the Vergölst headquarters in Bad Nauheim until 1992, formed the team group into the “Top Service Team” by November 2001.

He now operates on the market with his own company called ECR Solutions. As a neutral service organization, ECR supports customers holistically and connects dealers, fleets and manufacturers digitally.

ECR takes over tire management for Euro Leasing.

ECR and Euro Leasing are expanding their cooperation: ECR is taking over repair cost management for over 11,000 vehicles.

Within a very short time, ECR has developed into an established full-service outsourcing partner that maps and manages the entire commercial vehicle-related value chain from tire management to the scheduling of official inspections to the management of service contracts with vehicle and refrigeration equipment manufacturers on an IT basis in a paperless manner.

ECR is expanding its solution portfolio and integrating swap bodies into the service world. In addition to managing accident prevention inspections, telematics data is used to efficiently organize repairs and maintenance using geofencing.

ECR starts developing the service world for digital warranty processing and repair management (“KRONE OrderSystem”) for KRONE.

Fred Schäfer appoints Philip Häusler as Managing Director for IT. This enables ECR to push ahead with the consistent path of digitalization and expansion of solutions.

The Krone Commercial Vehicle Group and the fleet service provider ECR-Solutions have agreed on a strategic partnership: The aim of the cooperation is the joint further development of service packages in the area of fleet management.

ECR and DIKABO announce that they are working together consistently and digitally networked on customer solutions for efficient and sustainable carcass management – from pure logistics to retreading and disposal.

After 23 years, Fred Schäfer, founder of ECR Solutions, is handing over the management of the company to the next generation and retiring. Schäfer emphasizes that his life's work, with the experienced management team and the recent reinforcements, is ideally positioned to meet the requirements of digital and sustainable fleet management.
